Todays blowing of the Shofar comes as were heading into the first feast of this feast season, ROSH HASHANAH, Sept 25-28.
ROSH HASHANAH or The Feast of Trumpets
is a two-day festival that takes place on the first and second days of Tishrei, the seventh month on the Jewish calendar. It is a time of great joy and celebration, as it marks the start of the Jewish New Year. The festival also has significant religious meaning, as it is considered to be a time of repentance and forgiveness. Christians also celebrate the Feast of Trumpets, as they believe it to be a time when Jesus will return to earth.
