 Day 16 – 40 Days of the Shofar

The familiar long, straight shofar blast (Tekiah) is the sound of the King’s coronation. As we receive this revelation and participate in this season, we are symbolically crowning God as our King.

Hearing the sound for the coronation of the King to reign Supreme 

And have Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet anoint him there as king over Israel, and blow the trumpet and say, ‘Long live King Solomon!’ Then you shall come up after him, and he shall come and sit on my throne, and he shall be king in my place; for I have appointed him to be ruler over Israel and Judah.”
1 Kings 1:34-35
