Day 4 Devotion - THE WILLING HEART -
A New Mind
The next way that the willing heart is obtained is through a renewed mind. The renewed mind is a mind that is transformed and has not conformed to the world system.
Romans 12:2 says, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind that ye may prove what the good acceptable and perfect will of God is.
A transformed mind is necessary to receive a willing heart to give one’s life for the will of God.
The first step to a transformation in one’s mind is to be holy, set apart from this world system unto God. The world system opposes the system of God. Within the operation of the system of this world one will never receive a heart that is willing to lay down their life for the will of God. The system of this world keeps you self
centered and self interested.
1st John says, “All that is in the world is the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life. These are not of God.”
In order for a person to get their minds renewed to the will of God they must do as James 1:21 says; Wherefore, lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves
It is the word of God that renews the mind and changes it from the way of the world system to the way of the kingdom of God. Once the mind has been renewed to seek ye first the Kingdom of God then the system
of the kingdom will cause a person to willingly give for the purposes of God.
The Kingdom of God is a kingdom that operates on the bases of giving.
Therefore when one’s mind is renewed to the principles and operation of the Kingdom of God, and one has established a relationship with God through prayer, the willing heart will become the heart of the believer.
