Day 23 - 40 Days of Blowing the Shofar - Our feet shall stand within your Gates O Jerusalem

Welcome to Day 23

40 Days of Blowing the Shofar

Day 23 – 40 Days of Blowing the Shofar

Blow the trumpet in Zion and sound the alarm. The sound of the shofar is a call to worship for the righteous, the lukewarm and even the unrighteous. It is blast to wake you up.

Give Now

Hearing the Sound to go Up to Jerusalem

I was glad when they said to me, “Let’s go to the house of the Lord.” Our feet are standing Within your gates, Jerusalem, Jerusalem, that has been built As a city that is firmly joined together; To which the tribes go up, the tribes of the Lord— An ordinance for Israel— To give thanks to the name of the Lord.
Psalms 122:1-4

Todays blowing of the Shofar comes from Psalm 122:1-4 leading us up to Jerusalem to give thanks unto the Lord. As we've entered the Fall Feast season of Tabernacles, it's time to start turning our gaze towards the city of the great King, Jerusalem. David writes about Jerusalem, calling the whole...

Welcome to Day 22

40 Days of Blowing the Shofar

Day 22 – 40 Days of Blowing the Shofar

We're in the second day of the Rosh Hashanah celebration and the sound of the BREAKTHROUGH of shevarim, which means “broken ones” or “breakings.” This hints to the breakthrough God has for us especially during the appointed fall season of Trumpets, Yom Kippur and Sukkot.

Give Now

Hearing the sound of the second and final day of the Rosh Hashanah feast Celebration - Restoring the Splendor of Your Name

Behold, on the mountains, the feet of him who brings good news, Who announces peace! Celebrate your feasts, Judah, Pay your vows. For never again will the wicked one pass through you; He is eliminated completely.
Nahum 1:15

The one who scatters has come up against you. Man the fortress, watch the road; Strengthen your back, summon all your strength. For the Lord will restore the splendor of Jacob Like the splendor of Israel, Even though devastators...

Day 12 - 40 Days of Blowing of the Shofar - The Sound of Refuge

Welcome to Day 12

40 Days of Blowing the Shofar

Day 12 – 40 Days of the Shofar

Here are just a few things we've already learned the sounding of the shofar represents: 1) Return — We are putting God back on the throne! 2) An Alarm — God is awakening us from our spiritual slumber! 3) Rededication — We revitalize our commitment to God’s Word! 4) Hearing God’s Voice — He calls us to His wisdom and knowledge! 5) Sacrifice — Abraham was to sacrifice Isaac but God provided a ram! 6) Victory — A Reminder of God’s salvation and deliverance! 7) A Call for Unity — Under the Messiah, Jew and Gentile shall be one! 8) The Shout — Proclaiming Jesus will return with an eternal reward!

The sound of Refuge

Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah
Psalm 62:8 NKJV

Todays blowing of the Shofar comes from Psalm 62:8; One of the purposes for sounding...

Day 11 – 40 Days of Blowing the Shofar - Blowing the Trumpet for Harvest Time Sowing

Welcome to Day 11

40 Days of Blowing the Shofar

Day 11 – 40 Days of the Shofar

What you’re learning about during this Solemn Assembly is supernatural. It’s revelation that can make the difference between winning and losing. The shofar is God’s mighty trumpet and is the sound of victory over sin, sickness, poverty and anything else that might be trying to block your blessing! As I said yesterday, this is an appointed time for sowing and reaping. It’s the season of the final of our three First Fruit offerings on Sukkot. Joel 2:23-24 directly connects this “due season” with both the early and latter rain. So, if we’ll arise with a renewed sense of purpose and dedication, and respond with our first fruits offering we can expect an abundant outpouring of blessing in our lives.

Day 10 – 40 Days of Blowing the Shofar - Blowing Down the Walls to your Promised Inheritance

Welcome to Day 10

Day 10 – 40 Days of the Shofar

This is also an appointed time for sowing and reaping.

Blowing your Jericho Walls down

So the people shouted when the priests blew the trumpets. And it happened when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat. Then the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.”
Joshua 6:20 NKJV

Todays blowing of the Shofar comes from Joshua 6:20. And Today when we hear the sound of the Shofar we will see the walls surrounding our promised cities come down....

Day 9 – 40 Days of Blowing the Shofar - God is Gone up with a Shout and the sound of a Trumpet

Welcome to Day 9

40 Days of Blowing the Shofar

Day 9 – 40 Days of Blowing the Shofar

The traditional blessing as you blow the shofar is, "Blessed are You oh Lord …who commanded us to hear the voice of the shofar." Notice it’s not ‘who commanded us to blow the shofar.’ The heart of this teaching, is the blessing comes when we hear the sound of the shofar and it resonates in us. This will reconnect us spiritually to everything God is saying and calling us to do.

God has ascended on high with a shout, the Lord has ascended with the blast of a trumpet. Sing songs to God! Sing songs! Sing songs to our King! Sing songs! Psalm 47: 5-6 International Standard Version

Todays blowing of the Shofar comes from Psalm 47: 5. God has ascended on high with a shout, the Lord has ascended with the blast of a trumpet is speaking of God going up to defeat His enemies, and overthrow their kingdoms and establish His throne over all the kingdoms of the earth....

Day 8 – 40 Days of Blowing the Shofar - Cry Loud and Don't hold back! Lift up your voice like a Trumpet

Welcome to Day 8

40 Days of Blowing the Shofar

Blow the trumpet in Zion and sound the alarm. You have a divine mission to repair a broken world. That is part of our divine service that God awakens us to.

“Cry loudly, do not hold back; Raise your voice like a trumpet, And declare to My people their wrongdoing, And to the house of Jacob their sins.
Isaiah 58:1 NASB2020

God is raising up VOICES of deliverance

Today the trumpet is being blown to call prophets, messengers and witnesses into the culture, the nations and world to show them their transgressions and the House of Jacob (your family) their sins. In the midst of a generation where wrong is being called right and right wrong, this generation needs voices to CRY LOUD and NOT HOLD BACK. Don't be intimated, fear or be silenced in the face of a counterculture generation.

God is raising up VOICES of vengeance

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, Because the Lord anointed me To bring good news to the humble; He has sent...

Day 7 – 40 Days of Blowing the Shofar - And as soon as the trumpet is blown, you will hear it

Day 7 – 40 Days of Blowing the Shofar

The Lord designates this as a “due season” of judgment and reward. The daily blowing of the shofar represents God’s alarm clock to wake us up from any spiritual sleep or slumber. In His great love and mercy He sounds an alarm so we are not caught unaware and miss the abundant blessing about to happen. One of the traditional sounds is 9 quick blasts in short succession (Teruah) -- which resembles an alarm.

All you who inhabit the world, and live on earth, As soon as a flag is raised on the mountains, you will see it, And as soon as the trumpet is blown, you will hear it. For this is what the Lord has told me: “I will quietly look from My dwelling place Like dazzling heat in the sunshine, Like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest.”
Isaiah 18:3-4

Today the trumpet is being blown to call God's people into the mountain of the house of the Lord to be awakened to His glory, and to become the bearer of...

Day 6 - 40 DAYS OF THE SHOFAR - At whatever place you hear the sound of the trumpet, assemble to us there.

 Welcome to Day 6

40 Days of the Shofar

Day 6 – 40 Days of the Shofar

The Bible teaches that the shofar is the trumpet of God. The blowing of the shofar is still meant to serve important biblical purposes including; the sound for war, the announcing of the coronation of the King and announcing the fall season of Elul, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur and Sukkot. But in addition to all that the trumpet is for gathering us together to one another.

And I said to the nobles, the officials, and the rest of the people, “The work is great and extensive, and we are separated on the wall far from one another. At whatever place you hear the sound of the trumpet, assemble to us there. Our God will fight for us.” Nehemiah 4:19-20 NASB2020

Today is a day of gathering together to one another. With the blowing of the shofar of day 6 God wants to gather us together INTO UNITY.  As Nehemiah said in chapter 4, the work is too great and extentsive and we are separated...
