Welcome to Day 1 of Tender Heart June Solemn of Prayer

Welcome to Day 1 of Tender Heart June Solemn Assembly of Prayer

Day 1 Devotion - THE TENDER HEART

The word “tender” in the Hebrew is the word “rakak” which means to soften, be softer, to make softer, to be tender. A man or a woman with a tender heart is someone that God can speak to and change by his word whenever he desires to take them to a new place or position. A tender-hearted person is one that is not set in their ways and stuck in the past, but open and willing to move with the movings and dealings of God.

A tenderhearted person is one that does not have his own agenda, but is submitted to the agenda of God. A tenderhearted person is one who is submitted to God and man.

Humble Thyself

The first to a tender heart is to humble thyself.

II Kings 22:19 Because thine heart was tender, and thou hast humbled thyself before the Lord, when you heard what I spoke against this place, and against the inhabitants thereof, that they should become a desolation and a curse, and hast rent thy clothes, and wept before me; I have also have heard thee, saith the Lord

How does one humble himself?

Psalms 35: 13 says, I humbled myself through fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom.

Matt 18:4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

A. One way to humble your self is through prayer and fasting.

All this week we will be fasting from 6am to 6pm, praying and seeking God to tenderize our hearts to follow Him, to flow with Him, grow with Him, and go with Him. As we do I believe God is going to give us grace to transition us and shift us into a new season and expression of life out of this Pandemic.

B. Another way to humble your self is by placing yourself under a man or woman to learn and receive what they have, or what they know, to do what you need to do.

I Peter 5:5, 6 says, Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, be clothed with humility: for God resists the proud, and gives grace to the humble. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

Submission is a sign of humility.

In order to humble yourself you have to voluntarily submit to God-ordained authority. To humble your self under the mighty hand of God is to submit to the governmental authority of the five fold ministry gifts within the Body of Christ. Those ministry gifts are; The Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, Teacher. These are listed in Ephesians 4:11.

When we submit to the mighty hand of God he will exalt us in due time. However, we are not able to submit on our own, neither are we commanded to submit on our own. We are commanded to first humble ourselves. Once we humble ourselves we can receive the grace to submit ourselves.

1 Peter 5:5..... for God resists the proud, and gives grace to the humble.
